25/04/2008 We will be hosting another theme night on Friday June 13. The theme is Black Friday! The theme is bad luck, so use your imagination and dress up accordingly! There will be prizes for best costumes, games and music, so come on down to Cockburn Ice Arena for a great night!

04/03/2008 Cockburn Ice Arena's Matt Precious has just represented Australia at the Junior World Championships in February. Well done Matt!

04/03/2008 Kristie Pracy and Kelly McCarthy are representing Australia at the Synchronised World Championships in Budapest at the end of March. They will be skating with Sydney based synchro team Fire On Ice. Good luck girls!

04/03/2008 New season 2008 hockey gear has landed from Bauer and Easton. Heaps of 2006/2007 stock has been reduced. Come check it out!

04/03/2008 The junior and senior synchronised skating teams are looking for new recruits for the 2008/2009 season. If you are interested and have passed some of the state level tests please contact Calandra at the rink.

04/03/2008 THEME NIGHT We are looking for suggestions for our next theme night. We have previously hosted Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas and Hippie nights, if you have a theme you would like to skate to, send your suggestions to icerink@iinet.net.au. Any new good ideas may receive a prize.

05/02/2008 Our 8 week Sunday Scrimmaging begins on Sunday February 10. Kids under 13 are invited to participate on an application only basis, meaning that approval is subject to skill/experience level. Those in need of scrimmage experience will hold priority over others. For more information see our ice hockey page.

General Information
Our ice surface is 60m x 30m, making Cockburn Ice Arena the only full sized rink in Perth! Our sessions are split between general public skating sessions and private sports training sessions. To avoid disappointment please check our timetable before coming to skate. We are in a light industrial sub division in Bibra Lake. We are about 12 minutes from Fremantle and 5 minutes to the Kwinana Freeway. Public transport services adjacent roads, please check the relevant bus timetables.

Facilities
| Cafeteria | Our cafe seats approximately 80 persons in comfort. We serve the usual snacks and drinks as well as some 'warming' foods such as hot dogs, pies, sausage rolls, pasties, hot chips and toasted sandwiches. We also make the best hot chocolate, coffee and cappucinos.

| Change Rooms | We have two change rooms with showers available for hire.

| First Aid | We have a fully stocked First Aid room and always have a staff member rostered on with a current Senior First Aid certificate.

| Car Park | We have a large car park which can handle buses 'off street' parking. We also have disabled bays with easy access to the rink.

Pro Shop | Skate Sharpening Service | We can sharpen all skates to your specifications, whether they are figure skates or hockey skates, stainless steel or mild steel.
