If
you are looking for a fast, exciting, action packed team sport that
will challenge your abilities, why not give Ice Hockey a go? Ice
Hockey is played at Cockburn Ice Arena and is home to the Cockburn
Hawks Ice Hockey Club. The Hawks are one of the biggest clubs in
Western Australia and field teams in each of the grades available.
The
hockey season runs from March to September/October. For more information

Our Ice Hockey School is now called Learn to Play Ice Hockey and
is run by Cockburn Ice Arena, not the Hockey Association (WAIHA).
For info on how to join this program see below. If you are a beginner
and want to join a team you must complete the Learn to Play Ice
Hockey program to join the Hawks.

Hockey
School will give you the basic skills to join one of our hockey
teams and compete in state competitions or learn the skills just
for fun. You can no longer pay weekly, fees must be paid
upfront. This has been introduced to improve the quality
of the course and encourage weekly attendance.

This
unique program has been designed specifically for the kids participating
in the Saturday afternoon Learn To Play Hockey clinic. Kids under
13 are invited to  participate
on an application only basis.
This means
that approval is subject to skill/experience level. Kids in need
of further experience will hold priority over more experienced
players who are just looking for extra scrimmage time.
Controlled
scrimmages under the guidance of our coaches will be held every
Sunday afternoon for 8 weeks, from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. We hope to
give the kids with less experience a chance to play ice hockey
in a controlled ‘game’ environment, a great way of
boosting their skills, confidence and ability. For

November 25 marked the end of our Spring League. Congratulations
to those who were awarded trophies, which were given out for Most
Valuable Player and Most Improved for the season in each of the
