If
you are looking for a fast, exciting, action packed team sport that
will challenge your abilities, why not give Ice Hockey a go? Ice
Hockey is played at Cockburn Ice Arena and is home to the Cockburn
Hawks Ice Hockey Club. The Hawks are one of the biggest clubs in
Western Australia and field teams in each of the grades available.
The
hockey season runs from March to September/October. For more information
on the Hawks, and how to get into the sport, check out the Hawks

Our Ice Hockey School is now called Learn to Play Ice Hockey and
is run by Cockburn Ice Arena, not the Hockey Association (WAIHA).

and want to join a team you must complete the Learn to Play Ice
Hockey program to join the Hawks.

ICE HOCKEY FAST TRACK, Term 2, 2012 |
Thid program is designed for skaters who wish to play ice hockey but don't fulfil the minimum requirements for our 'Ice Hockey Clinic' (a pass in Intermediate 3). However, you must pass Basic 2 to be eligible for this program. Our 'Fast Track' program consists of a 'Learn to Skate' lesson once a week on your chosen day, plus you will be introduced to our 'Ice Hockey Clinic' on Saturday afternoons.
The price includes 8x25 minute weekly group lessons in our 'Learn to Skate' program, 9x30 minute weekly group lessons in our 'Ice Hockey Clinic', entry into the rink, skate, stick and helmet hire (if required) and unlimited free public skating throughout the whole skating term.

Learn To Play Ice Hockey, Term 2 2012 |
This program is designed to build on the skills learnt in the "Learn To Skate" program and teach skills specifically needed for ice hockey players. Skaters who have achieved a minimum pass in "Intermediate 3" or higher in the "Learn To Skate" program are welcome to join the hockey clinic. We strongly encourage you to complete our "Learn To Skate" program up to Footwork 2 level. Some skaters may be assessed by appointment.
Price includes 9 x 1 hour weekly group lessons, entry into the rink, skate, stick & helmet hire and unlimited free public skating throughout the skating term. In addition, if you pay in full before 1 April 2012, you will receive an extra 6 entry passes (valued at $120) absolutely FREE*.
(*Enrolment must be paid in full before 1 April 2012 and passes must be used exclusively by the enrolled skater during school holidays preceding the term. Passes are not transferable onto another family member. Further family discounts do not apply to "Ice Hockey Clinic" or "FastTrack" enrolments.)
Enrolment Policy: Skaters must be enrolled in this program to participate. Due to our new learning structure "Drop In" or "Pay As You Go" will not be accepted. Skaters who are "Fly-in Fly-out" or playing in the league, please see Dianne, Mike or Calandra to organize a tailored arrangement. Further family discounts do not apply to "Ice Hockey Clinic" or "FastTrack" enrolments. If you are enrolled in both "Learn To Skate" and "Ice Hockey Clinic", the cost of "Learn To Skate" program is only $80.
MOUTH GUARDS AND NECK GUARDS ARE COMPULSORY FOR ALL ICE HOCKEY CLINIC PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18.
