Why Learn to Ice Skate?

Who would have thought you could learn to ice skate in Perth? Learning to skate is a stimulating and enjoyable challenge. It is a great activity for developing co-ordination, self confidence and fitness. Many people tell us that ice skating is the first sporting activity that they have been able to stick at!

Our Learn To Skate course is the first step in your ice skating education. The program focuses on correct skating techniques starting from basic moves and progresses up to more demanding elements such as jumps and spins.

It is also the entry point for those wishing to play ice hockey. For ice hockey, skating skills are paramount, and a minimum level of Intermediate 3 is required to participate in our Learn to Play Ice Hockey program. However we encourage all skaters to achieve the Footwork 2 level before embarking on their ice hockey journey!
