Who are we?
We are the Murdoch University Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Class of 2023, who are currently in our final year of study and on our way to becoming future veterinarians. While we all have special interests and individual career prospects, our main goal as a cohort is to protect the welfare of animals. We also strive to provide education to our clients and the public in all of our endeavours. The Graduation Committee raises funds for our Graduation Ceremony in 2023 and for the charity of our choosing. We are responsible for holding annual events and fundraisers such as the ‘Unscrubbed’ Nude Calendar, Halfway Day Merchandise, quiz nights, bake sales, raffle competitions, pet patting booths, Cow Pat Lotto and sausage sizzles/BBQS.
Where does your support go?
Our charity of choice is Animal Aid Abroad. They are a non-for-profit organisation whose core mission is to relieve animal suffering, abuse and pain. We will donate 20% of our fundraisings to them.
Don’t forget to ask at reception for your discount 2 for $35 ticket for your next visit to the rink!
Please remember to wear long, thick socks, not anklet socks as the skates can rub. Dress in layers as you do get hot when skating. Long pants are recommended and gloves for added comfort if you have some, otherwise the venue sells both gloves and socks!

- Regular skate hire is included in the price. Guests can upgrade to platinum rentals at an extra cost
- Skating aids are available at an extra cost. These are sold on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to arrive early if you would like to hire an aid
- No fundraising ticket family passes are available
- Cockburn Ice Arena prides itself on being an all inclusive venue. Carers are admitted free with a Companion Card. If you would like to purchase a ticket for a wheelchair bound guest, please contact nadine@cockburnicearena.com.au
- Ice skating is undertaken at your own risk
- Ice skating is not recommended if you are pregnant, have a heart condition or a pre-existing injury or for children under 3 years
- If you purchase a ticket and fail to attend the event you will not be reimbursed for the cost of the ticket
- Your ticket also includes a bonus 2 for $35 discount voucher, where 2 people can skate for $35. This can also only be used once at any public session. Please collect this from our reception when you come in to use your fundraiser ticket
- Ticket can only be used once. Duplicate tickets will not be accepted.
- Lockers are available to secure your personal belongings
- A Transperth bus stop is at the front gate
