REQUIREMENTS

To be able to participate in the Cross-Ice Hockey League, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Born between 2003 – 2012 and;
  • Playing at the club level or;
  • Have passed Play The Game 2 the Cockburn Ice Arena Ice Hockey Academy.

GAME DATES

Thursday nights 5:15 – 7:15 pm

  • Junior B (2009 – 2012): 5:15 – 6:15 PM
  • Junior A (2003 – 2008): 6:15 – 7:15 PM

Combine (Evaluation) Skate: 16 October

Scrimmage: 23 October

Games: 30 October; 6, 13, 20, 27 November; 4, 11, 18 December.

Ice-skating, the use of the ice-skating rink and the use of ice skates are subject to risks. These include death, serious head, hand, wrist, knee and ankle injuries and lacerations. XHL - Code of Conduct
  1. All players agree to respect the rights, dignity and worth of fellow players, coaches, officials and spectators by participating in XHL League.
  2. XHL is a social league with non-checking rules. At no times will violence and/or acts of aggression be tolerated.
  3. IIntimidation, bullying or verbal abuse of officials or other players, checking with malice or intent to cause injury, provocation of fellow players, throwing equipment or deliberate damage to the ice rink/change rooms will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or expulsion from the league.
  4. By agreeing to take part in a game, players and officials are agreeing that they have the satisfactory level of fitness to complete a game, and are free from any impediment, injury and/or illness that may result in an injury to themselves or others.
  5. Players and officials are expected to conduct themselves professionally in regard to appropriate language, temper and punctuality.
  6. Abide by the rules and respect the decision of the officials, making all appeals to Cockburn Ice Arena in writing and respecting the final decision.
You must agree to abide by the House League Code of Conduct in order to participate in House League.

This league is NON CHECKING, and games will have 1 official. Players must agree to the Cross-ice Hockey League Code of Conduct in order to register.

What’s included:
