Have you got the stones?
The sport of curling entails two teams of four players sliding polished granite stones down a sheet of ice towards a target area called the house. This winter sport is played by over 2 million people worldwide, and has been an Olympic Sport since 1998 and a Paralympic Sport since 2006. The aim of the game is to get your stones closer to the centre of the house than your opponents.
Curling is well over 500 years old, and we are excited to offer it here in Perth! From ‘Come and Try’ days and ‘Learn to Curl’ workshops right up to League competitions and corporate/team buiding style events, there multiple ways for people of any skill level to get involved in this unique winter sport!
How to get involved
Every Sunday night, Cockburn Ice Arena becomes 5 sheets of competition curling as 14 teams do battle on the ice.
