Adult Club April Holidays Sessions

The school holidays are upon us once more and we’ve carved out a little time for our regular adult skaters to get on the ice in piece. There are Workshops (with coach Jaana) and Practise sessions to enjoy.

We’ve even split the workshops into two groups so that skaters may feel more comfortable working to their abilities. Some of us just want to take it easy where as some of us want challenges galore, so they are our two groups!

Group 1 Workshops – Taking it Easy Group
$35 per workshop

Workshops open to lower level adult skaters to work on balance, stability, increasing speed and power, basic turns and steps. 

Saturday 6 April 2024; 5pm – 6pm Rink 1
Monday 8 April 2024; 5.45pm – 6.45pm Rink 2

Group 2 Workshops – Challenge Me Group
$35 per workshop

Workshops open to higher level adult skaters to work on power, speed, moderate to difficult turns and steps, jumps and spins. 

Saturday 6 April 2024; 6pm – 7pm Rink 1
Monday 8 April 2024; 6.45pm – 7.45pm Rink 2

Practise Sessions – $25 per session

Open to both Group 1 – ‘Taking it Easy’ and Group 2 – ‘Challenge Me’. Skaters can enjoy a practise skate or have lessons during this time. As its school holidays, sessions can be hectic so this is a great way to get some time on quiet ice.  We hope you enjoy!

Coaches

Jaana Viiri

Jaana was born in Espoo, Finland and began skating at the age of 3. She skated competitively representing Finland.

Jaana worked side by side with Olympic coach Virpi Horttana for over ten years and counts herself fortunate to have been involved in the skating careers of many successful skaters from Finnish National titles to a European Champion.

Jaana has a deep understanding of the development of the skaters and the skills progression from grass roots to Senior level.
