THE BARRIER

If you are unable to do this, we recommend attending a few public ice skating sessions before signing up for lessons. We are unable to teach people who can't stand up on their own, as they will prevent the whole class from progressing.
You need to be able to stand up on the ice unassisted. Please tell us if you can do that.
Please be aware that lesson times are based on skill level and cannot be requested. So beginners are more likely to have a lesson time earlier in the selected time slot. For example, a new enrolment in the 4pm - 6pm time slot on a Wednesday would have a lesson time closer to 4pm.
Please select if you would like a holiday pass or not.
Please note: Holiday passes are non-refundable. No credits or refunds will be given to anyone who purchases a holiday pass.

Description

Our Learn To Skate program is the starting point in your skating education. We have designed this curriculum for skaters aged 5 and over. All skaters aged 3 and 4 (some exclusions may apply) will be placed into “Tiny Tots” class, where they must be accompanied by one adult during their lesson (adult can attend the lesson free of charge however, the focus will be on the child’s development. If an adult wishes to enrol into the program they must fill out separate form and pay the regular enrolment fee. No kids under the age of 3 will be accepted into the program). As a safety measure, we highly recommend that all skaters wear helmets whilst on the ice. All beginners are required to attend at least 1 (one) general session before signing up, be able to move off the barrier unassisted and be willing to learn. No refunds will be issued for Tiny Tots classes if the skater is not wishing to continue with lessons for the duration of the term.

All class details including class time, name of your coach, etc will be sent out via provided email 1-2 days before your first lesson. If you pass any levels during the term you will receive a certificate via email at the end of term. However your class time during the term will not change unless you are transferred to another class by your coach. Please note, there will be no make-up classes if you are unable to attend your regular class.

Please note: Maximum class size 10 people. Classes fill quickly so please make sure your form is submitted and all fees are paid to guarantee a place. This also applies to re-enrolments. Due to scheduling and enrolment numbers, adult classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays may not run, you will be contacted if this is the case. If you change your enrolment day after your first lesson (subject to availability), admin fee ($30) may be charged.
