Description
Charlesworth Ballet School together with Cockburn Ice Arena present an amazing off-ice dance class opportunity specifically for skaters to complement their on-ice and fitness training.
Our ‘Movement for Figure Skaters’ program is designed to improve a skater’s presentation and increase the competitive level of athletes, who are judged on presentation performance, aside from the technical elements of their programs.
Throughout the eight-week program, skaters will learn a variety of barre exercises, based on the Vaganova ballet syllabus and choreography using different types of music themes such as classical, contemporary and character to improve component marks.
This program will also enhance a skater’s musical sensitivity, sense of timing and lift their level of performance on the ice.
This program is delivered by Charlesworth Ballet School instructor Andrea Ponga-Morgan. Andrea is an accredited teacher of classical ballet, musical theatre and jazz dance.

Saturdays 2.15– 3.15pm (14, 21, 28 October; 4, 11, 18 November) 6 weeks
$150 ($25 per class)
UNIFORM
Canvas or leather ballet flats. Available to purchase from Studio Scene in Myaree. Please wear form fitting clothing such as leotards, leggings, tights etc so the instructor can assess line and extension.
